What Are Same-Day Dental Implants?
Also known as immediate load dental implants, same-day implants can be more convenient than conventional implants. The same-day treatment allows for a temporary crown to be placed the same day as a dental implant. This allows you to leave our office with a full set of teeth! You will then return for a permanent crown 4 to 6 months later.
For some dental implant patients, it can take time for your bone to heal prior to placing a dental crown. This is especially true if you have experienced any sort of bone loss. For these patients, a conventional dental implant procedure with a bone augmentation procedure might be the better option.
At Cary Dental, we will work with you to determine if same-day dental implants are right for you. In either case, we will recommend the appropriate treatment to restore your health and smile.

Patients who are a good candidate for same-day implants include those who:
- Have a strong and healthy jaw bone with proper bone quantity & quality.
- Have no underlying medical issues, such as auto-immune disease, diabetes, certain medications, gum disease or poor oral health.
