Encouraging your children to have a healthy relationship with their oral health is crucial. The habits and oral health decisions made when your children are young will set the course for their health and wellness for the rest of their life.
Additionally, many oral health issues can be corrected with treatment at a young age. With regular teeth cleanings and oral exams, dental issues can be caught early and fixed before it becomes a bigger health issue.
Cary Dental’s Approach to Dentistry for Children
At every dental appointment, our focus is on providing a welcoming environment for your child so they feel comfortable and excited to visit the dentist. We encourage children and parents to be engaged in their oral health.
At your child’s appointment, we will:
- Take necessary x-rays to evaluate the state of their oral health
- Comfortably clean your child’s teeth
- Perform a comprehensive oral exam to make sure your child’s teeth are developing correctly and are decay-free
- Discuss any new oral health issues.
Many dental issues identified early can prevent health issues later in your child’s life. Airway problems can be identified at a young age before symptoms develop, such as obstructive sleep apnea. When addressed properly before age 8, the risk for adult airway obstruction can be reduced. The evaluation can simply be done with a ruler and a few questions which can result in a healthier adult.

Free Teeth Whitening With Qualifying New Patients Appointments. Qualifying new patient appointments must include all three of the following services:
- Comprehensive dental exam
- All necessary x-rays
- Professional dental cleaning (includes Prophylaxis, excludes periodontal maintenance and periodontal therapy procedures)
